The primary role of risk services is to assist the Regional Health Corporations and Joint Operating Agreement partners of Catholic Health East in the management of certain non-labor expenses; protection of balance sheet stability; and preservation of human, financial and physical resources. This is achieved by leading the operational and strategic initiatives for system-wide traditional and non-traditional risk finance programs, workers’ compensation and colleague safety and other non-clinical loss mitigation initiatives and advocating for standardization of operational practices and process that promote uniformity and continuity. Additionally, risk services provides advisory services to System and its RHC and JOA partners on matters related to risk financing, workers’ compensation, and colleague safety and non-clinical loss mitigation.

• Manage non-traditional risk transfer programs to preserve capital

• Develop and promote new programs and services which meet the operational and strategic needs of stakeholders
• Achieve seamless integration of new organizations into Catholic Health East
