Primary Role

The primary purpose and role of Risk Management Services at Catholic Health East (CHE) is as follows:

  • To assist the Regional Health Corporations and Joint Operating Agreement Partners in the management of non-salary expenses, protection of their fiscal stability and preservation of their human, financial and physical resources. This is achieved by developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and enhancing cost-effective risk finance, loss prevention, worker’s compensation and claims administration programs.

  • To provide oversight to the operation of Stella Maris Insurance Company, Limited, a Supportive Health Corporation of CHE.
