Primary Role
The primary role of the Legal Services department is to serve as the principle legal advisor to CHE. The department is responsible for providing day-to-day corporate legal services and counsel. Services include monitoring and advisement on emerging legal and regulatory developments impacting on CHE and its constituent corporations including tax exempt status, corporate responsibility and organizational legal risks; advising on legal matters relative to CHE's shared governance authorities; and having access to a network of internal and external legal counsel to assist constituent organizations in obtaining cost-effective, high quality legal services.
