Human Resources assists system members in achieving the mission and attaining the goal of becoming the “employer of choice” by delivering results in the markets in which they operate. The department provides services in talent identification, retention and development, leadership development and succession planning, compensation and benefits, and human resources strategies, processes and program development and implementation. The department also oversees the administrative services of the System Office.

Services:

  • Oversees recruitment process for enterprise wide positions as well as for all System Office
  • Provides consultative support on talent retention, staff development, change management and work design matters
  • Enhances morale by helping colleagues realize career potential through training, performance management and system-wide job posting
  • Oversees system-wide colleague satisfaction survey to monitor attitudes of our colleagues
  • Leads the system-wide Culture of Inclusion program including consultation and training programs in diversity and inclusion
  • Administers the executive talent pool management/succession management system that has as its primary goal the identification and internal promotion of promising leaders for CHE organizations
  • Offers ongoing consultation and assistance in the areas of leadership development, organizational development, leadership performance management, coaching, mentoring and succession planning
  • Provides formal system-level orientation and education programs for new executives
  • Through master contracts with selected vendors, provides web-based training and development courses targeting new or inexperienced supervisors and managers
  • Offers collaborative strategies in the design, purchase and administration of employee benefit programs that deliver added value to both colleagues and organizations by leveraging the size, efficiencies and experiences of the entire system
  • Designs and delivers an integrated compensation and benefits program for system executives that supports the organization’s commitment to recruit, retain and inspire talented leaders for the ministry
