CHE Communications initiates, leads, supports, coordinates and evaluates the internal and external initiatives that demonstrate that Catholic Health East is a growing, dynamic, cutting-edge health system, and works with RHCs/JOAs to coordinate the sharing of information and communication “best practices” throughout the System.

The department also manages all media inquiries for the CHE System Office, and provides crisis communications counsel and support to the local RHCs/JOAs as needed.

The Communications department produces a number of publications including:

• Community Benefit Annual Report
• Horizons (quarterly System newsletter)
• The Governance Report (quarterly board newsletter)
• CEO Report (monthly bulletin for System leaders)
• CareLink Connections (monthly)
• Monday Morning (weekly news bulletin for System Office colleagues)

Services:

• Provides public relations, marketing and advertising support to RHCs/JOAs.
• Directs and coordinates the development, production and distribution of all CHE videos, brochures and other marketing materials.
• Manages and directs updates and enhancements to the CHE website.
• Pursues and negotiates opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements from marketing and communications vendors.
