Primary Role
The Advocacy and Government Relations department functions primarily to
manage, coordinate, and implement CHE's system-wide advocacy program. The
Advocacy and Government Relations department also staffs the Advocacy Council
and the Advocacy and Public Policy Sub-committee of the Board. Furthermore,
the department serves as CHE's point contact with key legislative and
regulatory stakeholders, and consequently provides consultative services to
RHCs regarding the development and implementation of local, regional,
statewide, and national advocacy activities. In addition, the department
directs and supports the system implementation of Children's Health Matters,
an advocacy and enrollment project focused on helping families obtain health
insurance and access to quality health care.
