Mercy Medical
Daphne, AL
Since 1949, Mercy Medical
has been a leader among healthcare providers in southwest Alabama. Founded
and operated by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy has grown from a small convalescent
home into an integrated network of healthcare services, which employs more than
600 staff members.
Today, Mercy Medical offers an integrated network of clinically excellent,
compassionate and cost-effective healthcare services. Our goal is to enable
patients, residents and their families to achieve and sustain their maximum
level of functional independence and quality of life. We achieve this through
our team of healthcare professionals that continually works to determine the
best plan of care for each patient or resident.
Mercy Medical provides care to thousands of patients each year. We strive
to provide the most effective treatment possible, customized to the needs
of each person, in the most appropriate setting. Together, these programs
offer a broad continuum that provides patients, residents and their physicians
with a single, consistent resource to meet their healthcare needs now and in
the years to come.
Located in both Mobile and Baldwin counties, Mercy Medical offers inpatient
and outpatient rehabilitation services, subacute and long-term skilled nursing,
home healthcare, and both home and inpatient hospice programs... This overlapping
network of healthcare and residential programs provides solutions for seriously
ill or injured patients who have completed conventional treatment at local
hospitals, but still require rehabilitation or continued care.
In addition to clinical services, Mercy Medical offers a residential
program that includes independent lifecare, assisted living and specialty
care assisted living communities. Residential programs are an important
part of Mercy's integrated network of services ensuring residents' access
to medical, rehabilitation, social and spiritual resources needed to maintain
wellness and independence. Mercy lifecare communities include The Hamlet in
Fairhope and Portier Place in Mobile. Our assisted living communities
include Carroll Place in Fairhope, Catherine Place in Daphne and McAuley
Place in Mobile. In February 2004, Mercy opened the John McClure Snook
Regional Center, a specialty care assisted living facility for Alzheimer's
and dementia care, in Daphne.
