Catholic Health East Appoints Vice President, Clinical Excellence

Daniel M. Feinberg, M.D. Vice President Clinical Exellence
Newtown Square, Pa. – Friday, February 5, 2010 – Catholic Health East (CHE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel M. Feinberg, M.D., FAAN as vice president, clinical excellence. Feinberg joined the leadership team on January 11, 2010.
In his new role, Feinberg is responsible for providing clinician perspective and leading change on CHE’s journey to a transformed health care system that is patient focused, effective, safe and of high value and that furthers CHE’s mission of serving those most in need and being a transforming, healing presence in the communities it serves. Feinberg will also serve as a key member of the team that will focus on developing and implementing best practice operational and clinical systems.
Feinberg comes to CHE from the University of Pennsylvania Health System where he was most recently the chief patient safety officer and medical director of clinical informatics. He was also an associate professor of clinical neurology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
He earned his M.D. from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in neurology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and a member of the American College of Physician Executives, as well as the American Medical Informatics Association.
