Catholic Health East Announces Appointment of New Board of Directors Chairperson

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – Catholic Health East (CHE), one of the nation's leading Catholic health care systems, recently announced the appointment of Jacquelyn Kinder, Ed.D. as chairperson of CHE's Board of Directors. Kinder was previously vice chairperson and has been a member of the board since 2002.
Kinder is the former executive director of the University Health Center at the University of Georgia (Athens, Georgia) from which she retired in January 2005. University Health Center is a multidisciplinary ambulatory care center offering a comprehensive range of outpatient services. She was responsible for the primary care services provided on the University of Georgia Campus, which include urgent care, general medicine, mental health, women's health services and dental care.
"Jacque brings her experience as vice chair, expertise in health care, and a values-centered leadership quality to her new role as Board chairperson," said Earle Bradford, Jr., former chair, CHE Board of Directors. "We're privileged to have an individual with her experience and vision at the helm of the Catholic Health East Board." Dr. Kinder served on the St. Mary's Health Care System (Athens, Georgia) Board of Directors from 1998 to 2002 and chaired the St. Mary's Board for two years—both in 2001 and 2002. St. Mary's is a member of Catholic Health East.
Prior to working at the University of Georgia, Kinder served as the senior vice president and COO for BroMenn Health Care, in Normal, IL. She earned a B.S.N. in nursing from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, a M.S. in administration from Illinois State University, Normal, IL, and an Ed.D. in administration in higher education from Illinois State University, Normal, IL.
