CHE's Tom Garthwaite Interviewed in National Quality Publication

Tom Garthwaite, MD, executive vice president and chief medical officer at Catholic Health East, shared his views on healthcare quality in large enterprises in the "Interview with a Quality Leader" column that appears in the January/February 2007 issue of Journal for Healthcare Quality.
Dr. Garthwaite recounted his experiences in helping large organizations improve their focus on issues such as patient safety and customer satisfaction, discussed the benefits to organizations of introducing leading edge technology such as electronic medical records, and offered his views on future challenges that face quality leaders in the healthcare industry.
