Diane Denny
Diane Denny, Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety at Catholic Health East (CHE), and Diana Ballard, Vice President of Professional Services at Holy Cross Health Ministries (a regional health corporation of CHE), have been appointed to the 2006 Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Award is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.
As examiners, Denny and Ballard will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the Award. The board is comprised of approximately 500 leading experts selected from industry, professional and trade organizations, education and healthcare organizations, and government.
This is an outstanding achievement, according to Robert V. Stanek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Health East. Their selection as examiners for this most prestigious of awards means that both Diane and Diana have been recognized by their peers nationally as experts in performance excellence. All of us at Catholic Health East congratulate Diane Denny and Diana Ballard for this extraordinary accomplishment.
The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is managed by the National Institute of Standards and Quality (a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce) and administered by the American Society for Quality. The Award is named in honor and memory of Malcolm Baldrige, who served as Secretary of Commerce from 1981- 1987. His managerial excellence contributed to long-term improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of government.
