Catholic Health East Donates Funds to Lourdes Cancer Program For Breast Cancer Awareness

Representatives from Catholic Health East recently presented a check for $13,100 to the Cancer Program at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County for breast cancer awareness efforts at the hospital.

The funds were raised by employees at Catholic Health East corporate offices located in Newtown Square and Conshohocken, Pa., during breast cancer awareness month. Catholic Health East is the parent company of the Lourdes Health System, and has 31 hospitals located in the eastern United States. Each month, employees in the corporate offices develop or sponsor a variety of fundraisers to support initiatives in the member hospitals.
The Lourdes Cancer Program is a member of the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Network and is a major provider of comprehensive cancer services in southern New Jersey.
Catholic Health East is a multi-institutional Catholic health system, which is co-sponsored by 15 religious congregations and Hope Ministries, a Public Juridic Person within Catholic Health East. Based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the System provides the means to ensure the continuation of the Catholic identity and operational strength of the Sponsors' health ministries, which are located within 11 eastern states from Maine to Florida.
The System includes acute care hospitals, free-standing and hospital-based skilled nursing facilities, residential facilities, free-standing behavioral health and rehabilitation facilities, and numerous ambulatory and community based health services.
