Implementation
Development and implementation of a 22-bed CARE (Cognitive Alzheimer’s and Related Expressions) Unit specifically designed to care for the cognitively impaired resident. As part of the programming, special family/caregiver support groups are offered featuring presenters with expertise in Geriatrics and/or Cognitive Impairments. Training and education for all staff in the care of dementia residents and in the care and disease progression of Alzheimer’s Disease is an integral part of the program.
