Implementation
Developed to meet the needs of patients with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia. Staff members of the 17-bed skilled nursing center are professionally trained through a certified training program of the National Alzheimer's Association. A full range of stimulating programming is offered consistent with the unique background and interest of each resident. A family support and education group was established to support families. A community education series was initiated that featured prominent national speakers on Alzheimer's Disease.
