Description of Services
As a non-profit agency affiliated with Maxis Health System, Tri-County Human Services provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment programs for persons throughout the life span, in need of mental health mental retardation, and other human services. As a community based provider, we provide services in home, school, and community settings as well as our site locations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Tri-County seeks “to provide the highest quality, most meaningful, and caring services to as many people as possible within our regional health and human services system”. Crisis staff is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to respond to client emergencies. Some mandated counseling and education programs are offered through subcontracts with government county agencies that serve children, adolescents, and families.
Programs
- Outpatient Services – For adults, adolescents, and children, including individual, group, marital, family and biofeedback therapies;
- Partial Hospitalization programs – For adults, adolescents and children.
- Intensive day program clinical and educational services to school-aged children. Summer day therapeutic program providing socio-recreational activities for children ages 5-13 who have emotional problems.
- Mental Retardation Services – Assists individuals and families in accessing and coordinating services for infants, children, adolescents and adults. Provide a number of day, employment and leisure options, including adult day program, partial hospitalization, vocational training, early intervention, and case management.
- School Outreach and Student Assistance – Consultation and support for youth with emotional problems in conjunction with participating schools.
- Family-Based In-Home Services – Provides in-home family and parent therapy to families with a child at-risk of being placed outside the home.
- Intensive Case Management – Helps both adults with serious and persistent mental illness and at-risk children and adolescents gain access to needed community-based services.
- Crisis Intervention – Services available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, including telephone triage and face-to-face evaluations.
- Parent & Child Resource Center – Educational program for parents at risk of abusing their children. For families residing in Susquehanna County.
- Family Preservation Program – Counseling and support program geared toward families in Susquehanna County who have a child at-risk for out-of-home placement.
- Autism Spectrum Disorders – Support services to children and their families living with Autism and related issues.
- Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice – Provide intensive community-based services to local county human services to support individuals and families living successfully in the community.
Fees and Insurance
Tri-County Human Services Center is an approved service provider for First Priority and Geisinger HMO plans as well as other insurance carriers. All services are based on a sliding fee scale which is determined by family income.
