Description of Services
Sisters of Charity Hospital, part of the Catholic Health System, offers highly specialized care for alcohol and substance abuse problems through a comprehensive network of programs serving the residents of Western New York. Comprehensive chemical dependency programs offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that is sensitive to the individual's need for privacy and confidentiality.

Sisters STAR Program (Substance, Treatment and Recovery) provides outpatient rehabilitation services at two locations – Buffalo and Amherst. Pathways, a licensed methadone maintenance treatment program, serves the opiate dependent at locations in Buffalo and Rochester.

Fees and Insurance
Sisters of Charity chemical dependency programs accept third party insurance plans, all forms of medical assistance and Medicare. Some consumers, due to income, may qualify for medical assistance.
