Description of Services
For more than 35 years, Nazareth Hospital has provided mental health services to the local community. Thousands of patients and their families have experienced the positive impact from the treatment they have received at the Center.

Nazareth Hospital's Behavioral Health Center provides a comprehensive therapy program in the comfort of a very caring and therapeutic environment. The Center is primarily oriented to the senior adult although many younger adults have found a stay at the Center therapeutic. Patients present to this voluntary unit with a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, paranoia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety and panic disorder, change in mental status, hallucinations and delusional thinking, phobias, extreme anger/delusional behavior and personality disorders.

The Program is uniquely associated with Friends Hospital, a premier Delaware Valley institution for the provision of behavioral health care for more than a century. Our special link with Friends Hospital provides the Center with on-site medical direction as well as program consultation and access to the resources of Friends Hospital such as their eating disorder program and their after-care follow-up services.
