Description of Services
Established over 70 years ago, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is a 368 bed acute care, community teaching hospital serving Delaware County and Southwest Philadelphia.

For over 25 years, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital's Department of Psychiatry has provided comprehensive healthcare by responding to the needs of the community. The mission of the Behavioral Health Programs is to work with individuals and families to assess and treat emotional, mental and behavioral disturbances.

Programs

Psychiatric Crisis and Evaluation Center
Provides 24-hour psychiatric crisis intervention , treatment and referral to residents of Delaware County and surrounding communities. For more information call (610) 237-4210.
Adult Inpatient Care
Short-term acute care is offered to both voluntary and involuntary patients with a psychiatric diagnosis in an inpatient setting providing structured, intensive therapy. Call (610) 237-4122 for more information.
Community Care Program (CCP)
An innovative program developed to address the social, psychiatric and medical needs of the severely, chronically mentally ill through intensive case management and medication clinic. Call (610) 237-4224 for information
Outpatient Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric and psychotherapy services for adults and older adults offered via Mercy Psychiatric Associates. For information call (610) 237-4122.

Fees and Insurance
Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital accepts third party insurance plans, all forms of medical assistance and Medicare. Some consumers, due to income, may qualify for medical assistance. All those who need access to these services are treated without regard to race, religion, national origin or ability to pay.
