Description of Services
Miami's only Catholic hospital, Mercy Hospital offers many programs and services. This private, full-service acute care hospital is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine.

Mercy Hospital recently celebrated 50 years of bringing comprehensive health care to the Miami-Dade community. A 512-bed hospital with more than 900 physicians on staff representing 28 medical specialties, Mercy is a member of Catholic Health East, one of the nation's largest healthcare systems.

For more than three decades, Mercy Hospital's Department of Psychiatry has provided outstanding healthcare by responding to the needs of the community. Today, we are among the most respected psychiatric facilities in South Florida. Our strategic location on beautiful Biscayne Bay affords our patients not only a "Room with a View" but also the spiritual guidance often helpful in dealing with mental illness.

Programs
30-bed inpatient adult psychiatric unit. Offers milieu therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, occupational therapy, pet therapy, art therapy and therapeutic recreation, electroconvulsive therapy. Read more about our services on our web page

Mercy Hospital, Miami, accepts third party insurance plans, all forms of medical assistance and Medicare. Some consumers, due to income, may qualify for medical assistance.
